Here's a view of the beach along the Morro bay sand spit, a barrier dunes system seperating the Pacific Ocean from the calm waters of the Morro Bay National Estuary, the smallest of the 28-member national estuary system. Reachable by kayak, the relatively undisturbed dunes are host to a wild diversity of wildlife and plant life.
